Leigh Panovka BSc, Hom.

General Family Practice with a Focus on Mental Health (Anxiety, Depression, Addiction)

More about Leigh

“The highest ideal of cure is rapid, gentle and permanent restoration of the health, or removal and annihilation of the disease in its whole extent, in the shortest, most reliable, and most harmless way, on easily comprehensible principles.” - Organon of Medicine - Samuel Hahnemann (founder of Homeopathy)

Leigh Panovka completed her Bachelor of Science degree (mathematics) at the University of the Witwatersrand. Realizing that math would never fulfill her life long interest in health, the human body and an innate desire to help people Leigh began her study of homeopathy..

Leigh studied homeopathy in South Africa, this is a full time five year degree, the sixth year being dedicated to a thesis. Leigh’s thesis is entitled “Aetiology of Endometriosis based on Homeopathic case taking principles”. Leigh graduated valedictorian in 2001 and immigrated to Canada shortly thereafter.

Leigh has studied with and continues to work alongside world renown homeopath Dr. Divya Chhabra - the pinnacle of whose work is the “Leap to the Similimum “ method. This method uses the foundation of classical homeopathy along with the latest understanding of neuroscience.

Dr. Divya’s method incorporates the knowledge and understanding gained from world famous scientific experiments as performed by Ivan Pavlov, John Watson and Robert Ader. The aim of the method is to understand and treat the corruption of specific neural circuits in the automatic part of the brain that affects ones health through the PNEI axis (psycho neural endocrine immunological axis ) thus resulting in disease or pain on the mental, physical and/or emotional realm.

In the initial consultation the patients physical, mental and emotional symptoms are extensively explored and carefully chosen childhood scenes, food aversions, fears and dreams are explored so that a single homeopathic remedy can be prescribed.

This method is especially equipped in dealing with the effects of unresolved childhood trauma and the devastating effects that it brings into adulthood.

Leigh gives weekly lectures to the international global homeopathic community, sharing cases using Divya’s “Leap to the Similimum method”.

Leigh is a member of the College of Homeopaths of Ontario.

“Leigh’s passion and commitment to Homeopathy, to reaching the unconscious, and therefore to the Leap to the Similimum method is unsurpassed.” - Dr Divya Chhabra.

Treating during all four years of school and after, he has completed thousands of treatments on the widest range of bodies. From old to young, from healthy to sick, from athletic to non – athletic, the great science of Osteopathy is beneficial for all. He is very interested in the complete body approach of Osteopathy, and how the science has allowed him to look at anatomy in a complete different way. The first principal of Osteopathy is “the body is a unit” and the body never ceases to amaze him with its healing capabilities when it is functioning optimally.

The mind and body cannot be separated, and the great science of Osteopathy has allowed him to help people with their mental health by allowing all the great nutrients of the body get to the brain, and all the waste products leave the brain.

His main philosophy is that every patient Is different, and all patients need to be treated based on the assessment which was done on them. Along with the right nutrition, sleep, and exercise, Osteopathy allows the blood, lymph, and nervous system to do its job to the fullest.
