In Canada, registered physiotherapists hold a Master’s-level physical therapy degree from an accredited university and have passed the national licensing examination.

Pelvic floor physiotherapy is a specialized area of physiotherapy focused on optimizing the health and function of the pelvic floor muscles — the group of muscles that support the pelvic organs, bladder and bowel control, and sexual function.
At NatCan, our approach is comprehensive, compassionate, and client-centred. We understand the sensitive nature of pelvic health concerns and create a comfortable, supportive environment where you can feel confident throughout your entire treatment journey. We believe in empowering individuals to take an active role in their healing.
Using manual therapy, pelvic floor exercises, biofeedback, education, and lifestyle modifications — we address the underlying factors contributing to pelvic floor dysfunction, not just the symptoms.

- Pelvic pain — chronic or acute
- Pelvic organ prolapse
- Sexual dysfunction or pain with intimacy

Physiotherapy as Part of Your Integrated Care at NatCan
At NatCan, physiotherapy doesn’t exist in isolation. Our physiotherapists work alongside our naturopathic doctors, chiropractor, osteopath, and massage therapists — giving you access to a fully coordinated care team.
Both Kelly and Olivia hold Masters-level physical therapy degrees and have passed the national licensing examination — meeting the highest standard of physiotherapy training in Canada.
Every treatment plan is built around your specific injury, goals, and lifestyle — not a generic protocol. Your physiotherapist uses the most current evidence to guide your rehabilitation.
NatCan offers specialized pelvic floor physiotherapy in a private, compassionate, and supportive environment — an important specialty that is not always easy to find in a holistic integrative setting.
Your physiotherapist communicates with your ND, chiropractor, osteopath, and RMT as needed — so your care is coordinated and everyone on your team knows your history and goals.
Most extended health benefit plans in Ontario include physiotherapy coverage. Receipts are provided for all sessions — check your plan before booking.
NatCan is recognized with consecutive Consumer Choice and Top Choice Awards — one of the most trusted integrative health destinations in Vaughan, with 10+ years serving the community.
What to Expect at Your Physiotherapy Appointment
Your first physiotherapy appointment is an assessment session — your physiotherapist needs your full history and a physical examination before beginning treatment.
Health History & Intake
Your physiotherapist takes a comprehensive history of your condition, previous injuries, medications, lifestyle, and goals. This informs every part of your assessment and treatment plan.
Physical Assessment
A thorough examination of your movement, strength, posture, and function. For pelvic floor, this may include an internal assessment (with full consent and explanation at every step).
Diagnosis & Treatment Plan
Your physiotherapist explains their findings and outlines a clear, personalized treatment plan with realistic goals and a timeline. You will know exactly what the plan is and why.
Treatment Begins
Treatment often begins within your first appointment. Follow-up visits build on each session — your physiotherapist adjusts your plan based on how you respond and progress.
