A Regulated, Evidence-Based Approach to Therapeutic Massage
Registered Massage Therapy is a regulated health profession in Ontario — not a spa service. RMTs are trained to assess and treat musculoskeletal conditions, support rehabilitation, and promote overall wellness through evidence-based hands-on techniques.
At NatCan, the principal form of massage therapy is Swedish massage — with several adjunctive therapeutic techniques available when clinically indicated. More and more Canadians are integrating massage therapy into their regular healthcare routine, recognizing that it addresses not just the physical manifestations of stress but also the underlying conditions that prevent the body from healing and functioning optimally.
Massage is not a luxury. It is a necessity.

- Lowers heart rate and supports nervous system regulation
- Increases endorphins — the body’s natural pain reducers
- Enhances joint function and overall metabolic healing
Integrated with Your NatCan Care Team
At NatCan, massage therapy is not delivered in isolation. Our RMTs work alongside our naturopathic doctors, physiotherapists, chiropractor, osteopath, and acupuncturist — so your massage therapy is coordinated with your broader health goals and treatment plan.
Many of our patients find that combining RMT with naturopathic care, acupuncture, or physiotherapy produces significantly better and more lasting results than any single therapy alone.
Massage Therapy Services at NatCan
NatCan offers a range of massage therapy services delivered by our Registered Massage Therapists at both clinic locations. Available services vary by location and practitioner.
The foundation of our massage therapy offering — Swedish massage combined with adjunctive therapeutic techniques where clinically indicated. Whether you need deep muscular release, treatment for a specific injury or condition, or relief from the physical effects of daily stress and tension, our RMTs design each session around your specific presentation and goals.
Sessions range from 30 to 90 minutes. Your RMT will recommend the ideal length based on your treatment goals at your first appointment.
Specialized massage therapy designed for the unique physical changes and discomforts of pregnancy. Pre-natal massage at NatCan uses positioning, pressure, and techniques that are safe and effective throughout pregnancy — addressing back pain, hip tightness, swelling, sciatic pain, and the general physical demands that pregnancy places on the body.
Sessions are available at the same price points as regular massage. Please let your RMT know your stage of pregnancy when booking so they can prepare appropriately.
Hot stone massage uses smooth, flat, heated basalt stones placed on specific areas of the body alongside hands-on massage techniques. The heat from the stones penetrates deeply into muscle tissue — allowing for greater muscular release with less pressure, improved circulation, and a profoundly relaxing experience.
Stones may be placed along the spine, on the stomach, chest, or limbs — and can also be used as tools during the massage itself. Available in 30 to 90-minute sessions at a slight premium over standard massage rates.
The best of both worlds — a full massage therapy session combined with Contemporary Acupuncture, which involves the insertion of very fine needles over carefully selected areas where nerves and their receptors are found. This can be performed with or without electrical stimulation.
Contemporary Acupuncture approaches treatment from a physical, neurological paradigm rather than a constitutional TCM approach — making it a natural complement to massage therapy. All treatments are billed as massage therapy and are fully insurance eligible under your RMT benefits.

Meet Nikki & Sheri — NatCan’s RMT Team
All massage therapy at NatCan is delivered by Registered Massage Therapists trained and regulated in Ontario.
Nikki is NatCan’s RMT at the Vaughan clinic, offering both general registered massage therapy and specialized services including Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage, and Facial Sculpting Massage. She brings a warm, thorough, results-focused approach to every session — taking the time to understand your health history, current concerns, and goals before beginning treatment.
Sheri is a Registered Massage Therapist with over 7 years of experience, focused on helping clients recover, move better, and perform at their best. At NatCan’s Woodbridge clinic, she offers one of the most comprehensive massage therapy menus available — from therapeutic Swedish massage to hot stone, pre-natal, Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage, and the unique combination of massage with Contemporary Acupuncture.
Why Choose Registered Massage Therapy at NatCan
Massage therapy at NatCan is not a spa experience — it is clinical, regulated, insurance-eligible therapeutic care delivered as part of an integrated health approach.
RMTs in Ontario are regulated health professionals who have completed a rigorous academic and clinical training program. Their work is evidence-based, assessment-driven, and coordinated with your broader healthcare team — producing outcomes that go far beyond relaxation.
All massage therapy sessions at NatCan are performed by Registered Massage Therapists and are eligible for coverage under extended health benefit plans. Most plans include meaningful RMT coverage — receipts are provided for all sessions for direct submission or reimbursement.
Swedish massage with adjunctive therapeutic techniques effectively reduces chronic muscle tension, joint stiffness, and the musculoskeletal pain that builds from postural stress, overuse, injury, and daily life — often providing relief that accumulates with regular treatment.
Registered massage therapy promotes healing of strained ligaments, muscular tears, and soft tissue injuries by increasing local circulation, reducing inflammation, and improving the metabolic conditions that the body needs to repair damaged tissue effectively.
The physical manifestations of stress — elevated heart rate, muscle tension, headaches, poor sleep — respond measurably to therapeutic massage. Regular RMT sessions help regulate the autonomic nervous system and build resilience to the daily stressors that accumulate over time.
At NatCan, your RMT communicates with your naturopathic doctor, physiotherapist, chiropractor, and osteopath as needed. This means your massage therapy is always informed by and aligned with your broader health plan — not delivered in isolation.
What Our Patients Are Saying
“I have been seeing Nikki for massage therapy at NatCan and she is absolutely wonderful. She listens carefully, adjusts based on what my body needs that day, and I always leave feeling significantly better than when I arrived. The combination of RMT and my ND appointments has been life-changing for my chronic back pain.”
“Sheri is exceptional. I tried the massage with contemporary acupuncture and it was unlike anything I had experienced before — the combination addressed my shoulder tension in a way that regular massage alone never had. The whole Woodbridge clinic team is outstanding.”
“I came to NatCan during my second trimester and Nikki’s pre-natal massage has been an essential part of how I’ve managed the back pain and hip tightness that pregnancy brings. I feel genuinely supported at this clinic — not just as a patient but as a whole person.”
